4 months old!

Wow, so I haven't exaclty been keeping up with our blog like I had imagined I would. I will try to do better from now on. We just bought Everest a new exersaucer that buys me a little more time to do things around the house. Oh, how I love Craigslist! Everest is now 4 months old now and changing everyday. Today his little personality was really coming out. We were over at Dustin and Kristin's visting Mom and Isaac and Everest was really chatting it up. Everest loves talking and cooing at the tv or his animals on his moblie, but doesn't really talk to anyone else. He seemed to really find his voice today and even talked to me a little bit. He has so many facial expressions. I think he might make a good little actor one day. We visited a lactation specialists last week and discovered that Everest probably wasn't getting enough to eat when he was nursing and was about 4 lbs underweight. We felt so bad for our little guy, but we had no idea. We've been suplementing with formula and within two days he had already gained 10 oz. His cute little cheeks are really starting to fill out now. It really has made a huge change in his disposition. He is so much happier now that he has a full belly. He also is starting to get used to the idea of riding in a car and instead of screaming he has decided that sleeping in the car is much more relaxing. This is such a fun age! We are having so much fun being parents and really learning how to trust and rely on God for everything.

Catching Up....

We had intended on starting a blog right when Everest was born, but we never had the time to do it in between diaper changes, feeding, and doing laundry. We'll get everyone caught up though...

Everest Lane was born February 19 at 4: 23 pm. He weighed 8 lbs 9 oz and was 23 1/2 inches long. That was the best day of our lives! I had gone into labor the night before at 1:40 am and had a really rough time. He was very stubborn and didn't want to come out. Finally after pushing for nearly 4 hours he made his grand appearance into the world. We can't even begin to describe the joy that we experienced when saw him for the first time. Everyone says he's probably the most photographed baby around, but I can't help it. I want to capture every moment because everyone tells us to enjoy each moment because they grow up so fast. He isn't happy unless he is being held so he is keeping us extremely busy. We are having so much fun with him!
